Acid Reflux (GERD) :-

Acid Reflux or Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is a digestive disorder that occurs when acidic stomach juices, or food and fluids back up from the stomach into the oesophagus. GERD affects people of all ages—from infants to older adults. The main symptoms are persistent heartburn and acid regurgitation. Some people have Acid Reflux without heartburn. Instead, they experience pain in the chest, hoarseness in the morning or trouble swallowing. You may feel like you have food stuck in your throat, or like you are choking or your throat is tight.

Symptoms:

  • Acid regurgitation (re-tasting your food after eating)

  • Difficulty or pain when swallowing

  • Sudden excess of saliva

  • Chronic sore throat

  • Laryngitis or hoarseness

  • Inflammation of the gums

  • Cavities

  • Bad breath

  • Chest pain (seek immediate medical help)

Constipation :-

Constipation is generally described as having fewer than three bowel movements a week. Though occasional constipation is very common, some people experience chronic constipation that can interfere with their ability to go about their daily tasks.

Symptoms:

  • Symptoms of chronic constipation include:

  • Passing fewer than three stools a week

  • Having lumpy or hard stools

  • Straining to have bowel movements

  • Feeling as though there is a blockage in your rectum that prevents bowel movements

  • Feeling as though you cannot completely empty the stool from your rectum

  • Needing help to empty your rectum, such as using your hands to press on your abdomen and using a finger to remove stool from your rectum

Crohn’s Disease

Indigestion :-

Most people with indigestion feel pain and discomfort in the stomach or chest. The sensation generally occurs soon after consuming food or drink. It may make a person feel full or uncomfortable during a meal, even if they have not eaten a large amount of food.

Symptoms:

The primary symptoms of indigestion are:

  • Upper abdominal pain or discomfort

  • Belching

  • Nausea

  • Abdominal bloating

  • Feeling full after eating only a small amount of food (early satiety)

  • Abdominal distention (swelling)

  • Occasionally vomiting.

Ulcerative Colitis :-

Ulcerative Colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease which causes inflammation and ulceration of inner lining of the colon and rectum. The inflammation usually begins in the rectum and sigmoid colon and spread upward to the entire colon. Ulcerative colitis rarely affects the small intestine.

Symptoms:

Ulcerative colitis symptoms can vary, depending on the severity of inflammation and where it occurs. Signs and symptoms may include:

  • Diarrhoea, often with blood or pus

  • Rectal bleeding — passing small amount of blood with stool

  • Urgency to defecate

  • Inability to defecate despite urgency

  • Abdominal pain and cramping

  • Rectal pain

  • Weight loss

  • Fatigue

  • Fever
